In the school Highly skilled and experienced teachers collaborate to concentrate on improving the learning outcomes of every child. The staff are always exploring ways to improve the quality of teaching and learning strategies by conducting research, data analysis and professional development. They have developed whole-school methods that are based on evidence-based teaching in order to ensure that every student is able to perform at the highest level of their capabilities. Teachers recognize the vital contributions that parents play in supporting the learning of each child and work with parents to satisfy the needs of each child. Ashdale Primary School is aware that children are unique individuals with distinct strengths and demands. The staff members identify and support students who may need additional support and/or remediation. In their dedication to meeting the needs of children from all backgrounds, they also provide a special Literacy Intervention Program for children needing additional assistance. This helps ensure that every child will feel comfortable, challenged, and happy.

In addition to their successful program based on the curriculum They have also created an entire school PERCS Values Program. This explicitly educates children about things like perseverance and excellence, respect, cooperation, and self-discipline. They also recognize those who exhibit these qualities in their classrooms and on the in the playground.

Ashdale Primary School began operations in 2005. It is equipped with modern, technologically advanced facilities. The classrooms have interactive whiteboards, and the school is equipped with laptops and iPads available to use by students. Students in year 4 up participate in the iPad 1:1 program, which gives them the chance to seamlessly use technology across different learning areas.

The children who are enrolled at Ashdale Elementary School are benefited by the experience of teachers who specialize in the fields of Science, Music and the visual Arts, LOTE (Italian) and Physical Education. Through the year, they have many opportunities to be involved in events of musical or sporting nature together with other local schools. The central point of the school is their lively and extensive library, which encourages curiosity and reading.

The vast nature playgrounds at the park are developed in collaboration with world-class experts to provide more possibilities for children to learn and play in exciting outdoors environments. Furthermore, the community garden allows children to engage in nature, arts and science-based learning together with their parents and other community members.

Ashdale Primary School is home to students from a variety of backgrounds. This creates a rich cultural school community. Teachers seek out opportunities to incorporate elements of culture into their classroom activities, thereby enhancing connections to their children’s homes. Students are all encouraged to celebrate their culture through school-wide celebrations, including every year’s Harmony Day celebrations where they show their community’s diversity by performing diverse shows.
