His voluntary service as an interpreter and his founding role in the Saint Joseph Association laid the foundation for what would later become Italian Aged Care.

Driven by Paolo’s unwavering vision, Italian Aged Care Inc. emerged as a sanctuary for aged Italian males who found themselves without families or support in their later years. Despite facing numerous challenges, Paolo’s dream of establishing a care home for these disadvantaged men gradually took shape, culminating in the opening of Villa Terenzio in 1982. Named in honor of Dr. Salvatore Terenzio, the Italian Consul to Western Australia at the time, Villa Terenzio served as a testament to the resilience and generosity of the Italian community.

Over the years, Italian Aged Care Inc. has expanded its services to meet the evolving needs of its residents. The development of Cabrini Retirement Village in the 1990s provided independent living options within the Villa Terenzio community, while subsequent additions, including secure dementia-specific areas and home care services, further enhanced the organization’s capacity to support aging individuals.

In 2019, Italian Aged Care Inc. unveiled Casa Cabrini, a state-of-the-art facility offering high-level nursing care in a dementia-friendly environment. Nestled within the serene suburb of Marangaroo, Casa Cabrini encompasses independent living units, St. Joseph’s Chapel, and extensive grounds, providing residents with holistic support and spiritual nourishment.
