TPG Aged Care

TPG Aged Care

Patricia Tassell founded TPG Aged Care in 1998 as Home Care Pursuits, which provided services such as nursing care, personal care, housekeeping, gardening, social assistance, respite care, and recreational care. Patricia was passionate about the idea of community and the shared assistance that used to be provided by neighbors and friends.

In December 2001, a training division was created, and in December 2002, we were registered as a training organization. A wide range of aids are available to the most disabled of clients, therefore training programs were designed to help participants comprehend the problems faced by older and disabled individuals and make use of them. Both of the company’s divisions were incorporated in 2003 under the name The Pursuits Group.

All employees are dedicated to offering high-quality services to persons who have difficulty performing everyday tasks and want to reside in their own homes. Employees collaborate with local government agencies, community groups, and other private businesses to provide a wide range of services with the assumption that helping those in their local community will improve their ability to live independently.

Key Success Factors

The following factors influence our success:

Integrity

The Director has spent the last 30 years residing and working in the neighborhood. In that time, she has taken on both paid and unpaid roles and has established herself in a wide range of capacities. Prior to entering the commercial world, she managed a sizable community group in the area, where her dedication to quality and ethical operating procedures gained recognition. She has held positions as Chairman of Greyhounds WA, Deputy Chairman of the Kingsway Community Bank, and Commissioner on the Board of LotteryWest in the past.

Sense of community

A crucial component of the company is the community context. Many customers and employees are foreign nationals who lack a history of a large extended family. Customers and employees have shown excitement about the idea of belonging, according to feedback. This sense of belonging is what is driving development, a tremendous amount of effort from group members, and a dedication to offering top-notch services to help customers live independently in their own homes.

Creating opportunity

The foundation of this company is its emphasis on employment and community service. People need to have access to employment if our community is to be healthy. Members of the company continuously look into, evaluate, and, where appropriate, develop possibilities into projects. This has resulted in the growth of a workforce that is steadily expanding and given the chance to gain confidence and skills as well as participate in and contribute to a community by offering a variety of services to clients in their homes.
