You’ll immediately feel their warmth and hospitality as soon as you walk through their doors. The Landsdale Early Learning Centre is a haven for children with small hands. It offers a warm environment, nature-based learning, and close relationships with their families.

Many of their staff have been working at the Landsdale early Learning Centre more than a decade. They have cared for their siblings and cousins, and they have become close to their families over the years. They are passionate about sharing their knowledge, passion and dedication to create a caring and nurturing environment for children. They are proud to provide a secure and safe environment for children. Families feel respected and included. The highly skilled and experienced educators provide an environment that is flexible, responsive, and engaging and tailored to each child’s needs.

They provide support for families and communities in Western Australia – starting with the youngest members of their early learning centers; supporting young people through fostering, accommodation, and wellness; supporting vulnerable families through housing support; new Australians through multicultural services; Kimberley communities through accommodation; and their seniors through their aged care services.

MercyCare has 29 services available in 48 locations across Western Australia, with over 1350 dedicated staff members and volunteers.

They are dedicated to protecting and protecting children, young adults, and the vulnerable, as well as inspiring a culture that embraces and celebrates diversity. They are proud to have made a positive impact on the world with a legacy that spans more than 170-years.

Because of the strong values passed down from their founders, they do it. They want to make positive change. Their community is the Western Australian community. It is the core of all they do.

They are a passionate organisation that has the conviction and confidence to stand up for what they believe in. They believe every person is important, and that compassion, justice, and empathy are motivating, actionable forces that can make a positive difference in their communities.

MercyCare was founded by Catherine McAuley. She began her work in Ireland in the 1800s to combat injustices and provide compassion and care for the most vulnerable.

Catherine’s passion led to the formation of the Catholic Sisters of Mercy, who, under Sister Ursula Frayne arrived in Fremantle 1846 and traveled up the Swan River from Perth.

Sisters of Mercy had the vision of creating an inclusive, compassionate, and more equal outlook for all Western Australians.

The Sisters of Mercy provided education, welfare, and health services in Perth for the next century and half. They did this without judgment, and cared for everyone.

The legacy of the pioneering Sisters of Mercy, and others who carried their legacy forward, has had a lasting effect on the Western Australian community.

MercyCare holds this story in high regard. They draw inspiration from this story as they address the needs of the Western Australian community.

MercyCare, as they now know it, was founded in 2002. MercyCare was created by the Sisters of Mercy on March 19, 2002. They transferred ownership to MercyCare in order to make it a public limited company with guarantee.

MercyCare is a not-for profit organisation that has expanded its services and reach to assist more Western Australians. They are focused on the most vulnerable and ensure their support throughout every stage of life.

Their service delivery has changed and expanded since 2002.

Mercy Hospital Mount Lawley’s ownership was transferred to St John of God Health Care in 2014, allowing MercyCare to concentrate on its vital community services.

MercyCare purchased four residential aged care homes in 2016 and brought the same skills, experience and compassion it had over many years to residents of Joondalup and Kelmscott.

MercyCare was approved by the NDIS in 2017 to provide Disability Services. This ensures quality support for people with disabilities in Western Australia.

MercyCare’s Early Learning Centres increased by more than two-fold in the 2019 financial year. This was due to acquisitions and new purpose-built centers. They now have 14 centres in Perth that provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children. This includes a focus on their individual needs and embracing diversity, sustainability, and the culture of Australia’s First Peoples.

They formed partnerships with local organizations to create culturally-safe Aboriginal Short Term Accommodations in Derby and Broome in 2014. In order to reach the most vulnerable people in Western Australia, they also established partnerships in 2018 with Broome. They have expanded their multicultural services in Perth in recent years to help their new community members settle in Australia.
