The company was founded in Perth in the year 1981. It was initially trading under the name Allglass Australia, later becoming Plastic Fabricators (WA) Pty Ltd. The Founding Team adopted an approach that was hands-on in the designing and engineering the company’s products to offer specific solutions to its customers. The company’s proven method continues until today. In the early 1990’s, they came up with their own design concepts that used Polypropylene Electrowinning Cells to service the increasing demand of the gold industry. With their dedication to continual advancement, their product line has been steadily expanding through the reconfiguration and optimization of their designs to meet the specific needs of their customers. Electrowinning cell designs from their company are the standard in the field and are recognized for their outstanding manufacturing quality and performance. Since the 1990’s, they’ve provided electrowinning cells to more than 100 mining projects all over the world. This was the first significant breakthrough PFWA has developed and expanded to be capable of offering a greater variety of services and products such as construction of metal, management of projects, and installation on-site. In the beginning of 2015, the company moved to its own custom-built manufacturing facility that is better suited to future expansion. In February 2017, they became an approved supplier to the Water Corporation for the provision of plastic welding services as well as an exclusive distributor in Australia for Alltech (Germany) Chemical Dosing Systems. In December of 2017, they decided to expand their reach by acquiring OdaTech that uses biotechnology-based sustainable solutions to difficult corrosion and odour problems with a high efficiency economical, eco-friendly and sustainable way. Alongside OdaTech’s Odour Control Systems they now offer a broad selection of chemical, and gas wet scrubbers specially designed for removal of pollutants generated by the industrial emissions streams. 2018 marks further advances for the company with the offering of both a standard range and custom-built thermoplastic direct coupled, and belt driven centrifugal fans with the capacity to service flow rates of up to 100,000 m3/hour.
